Morning Organization
The must-have essentials to be super organized in the morning. Getting organized will almost immediately relieve overwhelm and stress.
When I get overwhelmed... I clean! Literally. And cleaning is just another word for organizing. You might know, that afterwards you feel immediately better.
1. Physical planner

I swear by my planner, and this one is perfect for basic organization and planning! The pages are not dated so you can get this whenever you want and fill it out on the spot.
Use this in the morning to plan your days, to do list, and more! The benefit here is avoiding screens (which is critical).
2. Physical journal
Not only having a physical planner, but also having a physical journal can help you avoid your phones and screens in the morning.
Immediately opening your phone might be a huge reason that is secretly keeping you overstimulated and frazzled. I love using my journal to write devotionals, gratitudes, or literally anything on my mind!
Here are the three top early morning mistakes women make in the morning that lead to low energy, scattered focus, and overwhelm.

3. Catch-all kitchen basket
I am no interior designer, but having a catch-all kitchen basket is essential for organization.
Either in the evening or in the morning I will clean our living space and kitchen. All the miscellaneous items go straight into the basket. So easy, so simple. I literally swear by this!
Studies even show that people in a cluttered home actually have higher cortisol levels (stress) compared to those in tidy spaces.
Do it in the evening before bed or at some point in your morning routine to immediately lower stress and ease your overwhelm.
4. Nightstand organizer
Have a look at your nightstand? Is it like mine with books, pens, glasses, water, and anything else you can think of just piling up?
When I am going to sleep and see my nightstand a mess (or worse scattered in the bed), I immediately get overwhelmed. Are you the same way?!

Having a nightstand organizer will make your evening routine and morning routine feel more organized and controlled, relieving overstimulation.
Because, let's be real, waking up and immediately seeing a mess does not help at all. To relieve being overstimulated, we just have to control and organize our space a tad more and a nightstand organizer is a great start!
Use this one for books, journals, and even some pens. Then, use this one for glasses, lip balm, and any other small items.
5. Phone and cord holder
In a perfect world, we would have our phones outside the bedroom. It is too easy to wake up and immediately go on our phones...
Our brains were not meant to handle that much information (and blue light) right when we wake up. Can you feel the difference when you don't go on your phone?!

However, we might not want to put our phones outside the bedroom (which is perfectly fine). Though, in our room we can organize our cords a bit more...
A cord holder for your phone charger, iPad charger, and even Kindle will organize your bedside table like never before. Sometimes it's the little things, right?
6. Morning checklist
How often do you wake up and either do the same thing (something that doesn't help the rest of your day) or you wake up and pick and choose on the spot what to do?
For me, I reallllyyy don't like when I wake up and have no idea what is needed to be done. Honestly, it stresses me out. Then, turns into analysis paralysis where I end up just doing little to nothing!
That is where a morning routine checklist comes in handy!
Especially using it in those seasons of overwhelm and stress it can calm your mind, organize your day, and set you up for waaaaay more success.

Nervous System Support
Now, that we have our morning organized it is time to add in those supportive elements that help relieve stress and overwhelm.
7. Gentle alarm clock
Our circadian rhythm is critical to our overall well-being and health (especially for women).
This gentle sunrise alarm clock slowly gets brighter as it nears your wake up time. Which is meant to mimic waking up with the sunrise (especially good if you wake up early).
Waking up with the sunrise helps with our melatonin production which helps to naturally align our cycles.

8. Cozy pajama set
I don't know what it is, but when I wake up without clothes near by or pants on (to be real) I scramble!
With one eye open, I search the floor, the closet, until I finally find something soft and useable.
Until, I started to learn... Put actual pajamas on, or lay morning clothes next to the bed. Sounds easy, right?!
Though, having a distinct cozy pajama set that you KNOW is what you sleep in and spend your morning routine in, mornings will be easier.
No stress trying to get dressed until you at least had a coffee!
9. Nourishing herbal tea
I have done this in the past and it is totally slept on!
Making an herbal tea that is stress and hormone supportive, leaving in the fridge, then having a glass in the morning is a game changer. Talk about a lovely morning routines women.
Here are some lovely herbs to make homemade morning herbal tea:
You can make a single herbal tea, or you can make your own blend! I love making my own blends, switching them up, and also adding honey and lemon.
*Please do you own research, this is not medical advice. And you should consult your physician before taking herbal supplements.
Hopefully these morning essentials help you to find balance and find relief from overwhelm. No matter where you are on your journey
